The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Adijat Adeleye, has counseled youth bloggers and content creators to prioritize value creation and professionalism over immediate financial gain. Speaking during a visit from the "Gateway Bloggers" on Wednesday, she lamented the growing "money-first" syndrome that often undermines long-term career growth.

Adeleye emphasized that while financial rewards are important, they should not define a creator’s initial value. She advised the youths that the exposure gained from high-quality, professional work is often more valuable than a paycheck in the early stages of a career, as it builds the reputation necessary for sustainable success.
Using a seasonal analogy, the Commissioner described the current phase for many young creators as a "season of sowing." She reminded them that a harvest requires patience, watering, and weeding, and that God only blesses the actual "work of our hands" rather than the desire for quick wealth.
The Commissioner urged the visitors to remain focused and consistent, noting that once they establish themselves as reliable professionals, clients will eventually have no choice but to pay them their worth. She encouraged them to keep their "eyes on the ball" and resist the urge to compromise their standards for temporary monetary considerations.

In her concluding remarks, Adeleye reiterated the state government’s commitment to youth development. She encouraged the bloggers to use their platforms for social good and professional reporting, assuring them that diligence in their duties would lead to both personal fulfillment and financial stability in the future.
