The President of the Nigerian Citizen Association in South Africa, Reverend Frank Onyekwelu, has sent a message to Nigerians living there. He told them to be honest and excellent in everything they do to represent Nigeria well.

In a New Year statement, he urged his fellow citizens to stay united and show love to one another. He believes that being a good ambassador means respecting the laws of South Africa while working hard to succeed.
The Reverend sadly mentioned that 2025 was a difficult year with many deaths. Some Nigerians were killed by the police, some by locals, and others during fights with fellow Nigerians. He prayed that this new year would be much more peaceful.
He advised everyone to "tread carefully" and value human life above all else. He also encouraged people to settle their disagreements peacefully instead of resorting to violence or fighting.

The main message is about building a good relationship with the host nation. By living with integrity and respect, Nigerians in South Africa can build a better future for themselves and their community.
