The Federal Government has received another batch of 50 Compressed Natural Gas buses as part of ongoing efforts to provide more affordable and efficient transportation across the country.

The latest delivery was announced by the Chairman of Nordmotion, Ajayi Oluwatobi, in a statement released on his X account on Tuesday.
He explained that the buses form part of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, a programme designed to reduce transportation costs, promote energy transition and ease the burden created by fuel subsidy removal.
Oluwatobi noted that the Indigenous automobile manufacturer had previously delivered 50 CNG-powered buses to the government, bringing the total number received so far to 100.

He added that the company remains committed to supporting the federal government’s drive towards cleaner, cheaper and safer mobility solutions for Nigerians.
“We are proud to announce the successful delivery of 50 units of our fully CNG-powered buses to the Federal Government of Nigeria,”
“Our goal is to continue contributing to sustainable transportation and national development,”
The Presidential CNG Initiative was launched in 2023 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cushion the impact of subsidy removal and encourage the adoption of alternative fuel vehicles across the country.
