Global music star Nicki Minaj has again drawn international attention to the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, following her earlier remarks at a United Nations event hosted by U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz.

This follow-up reaction comes as her initial speech continues to generate widespread discussion among advocacy groups, religious organisations, and policymakers monitoring violence in parts of Nigeria.

Minaj, who has used her social platforms to highlight attacks on Christian communities, reiterated that the situation in Nigeria requires urgent global intervention and stronger protection for vulnerable groups.

She noted that reports of forced displacement, killings, and targeted attacks on churches reflect a worsening crisis that can no longer be ignored by world leaders.

The rapper stressed that her ongoing advocacy is driven by humanitarian concern and a belief that every individual deserves the right to practice their faith without fear.

“In Nigeria, Christians are still being targeted, killed, and displaced, and entire communities are living in fear. These are not isolated incidents, they point to a crisis that demands immediate action,” Minaj said.
“This is not about taking sides. It is about standing up for humanity, defending the innocent, and speaking out when lives are being destroyed simply because of how people choose to worship,” she added.

Her renewed comments follow former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent warning that Nigeria may soon be classified as a Country of Particular Concern, a designation that could trigger sanctions or the suspension of American aid if the violence persists.
