Naija Diaspora has extended its congratulations to Ambassador Ojo Olabode Steve, who has been appointed as Nigeria’s Consular General to Cameroon. Ambassador Steve succeeds the late Ambassador Taofik Coker and has officially received his Letter of Credence from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

In a statement, the publisher of Naija Diaspora Magazine, Ismaila Adegbola, expressed confidence that Ambassador Steve would strengthen Nigeria-Cameroon relations and provide robust support to Nigerians living in the country.

The organization also highlighted its readiness to collaborate with the new Consul General to advance community development initiatives and programs that benefit Nigerians in Cameroon.

Adegbola emphasized the significance of wisdom, resilience, and strategic engagement as Ambassador Steve prepares to commence his duties in Buea. He wished him a tenure marked by progress, stability, and notable achievements.

“Naija Diaspora stands ready to offer full cooperation and support. We anticipate a productive partnership with Ambassador Steve and his team in promoting the welfare of Nigerians in Cameroon,” the statement read.
The appointment comes at a critical time for strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering a supportive environment for the Nigerian community in Cameroon.

Ambassador Steve’s tenure is expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, protecting the rights of Nigerians abroad, and creating platforms for cultural and economic exchange between the two nations.

Naija Diaspora concluded by praying for divine guidance and success for Ambassador Steve, hoping his tenure will leave a lasting positive impact on Nigeria-Cameroon relations.
