The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has officially partnered with the upcoming Nigeria eGovernment Summit 2025, reinforcing its commitment to promoting digital transformation and effective governance in Nigeria.

Now in its seventh edition, the summit is scheduled to take place on August 28, 2025, in Lagos. This year’s theme, "Public-Private Partnership for Effective eGovernment Service Delivery," underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in leveraging technology for improved government services.

NACC President, Sheriff Balogun, confirmed the partnership in a letter dated May 23, 2025, stating that the chamber is excited to work with the summit’s organizers to further enhance the use of technology in public service.
“The chamber is pleased to partner with your organization for the success of this event,” Balogun wrote. “We are confident that the collaboration will be mutually beneficial in enhancing efficiency in the application of technology in government service delivery and processes.”

The summit is organized by DigiServe Network Services, in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

The event aims to bring together representatives from government, the private sector, and technology service providers alongside citizens, who are the end-users of these services to explore how emerging technologies can streamline governance and improve public service delivery.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Lanre Ajayi, Convener of the Nigeria eGovernment Summit, emphasized the urgency for digital reform in public institutions:

“Nigerians deserve efficient and responsive governance. To achieve this, government must embrace emerging technologies that will drive better service delivery. This summit will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and solutions through public-private partnerships.”

The summit is expected to spark critical conversations around digital governance, citizen-centered services, and policy innovation. It continues to serve as a vital forum for aligning Nigeria’s digital transformation with global standards.
