Preparation for the 20th Lagos Motor Fair and Africa AutoParts Expo has hit a high note as a
record number of local and foreign firms have signed up for the event. The fair, which is a premier gathering for the automotive industry in West Africa, serves as a platform for showcasing the latest innovations in vehicle manufacturing and spare parts.

The organizers have confirmed that top-tier global automotive brands will be joining local assemblers to display their latest models and technologies. The fair aims to bridge the gap between manufacturers and consumers while highlighting the potential of Nigeria’s automotive policy.
A significant highlight of this year’s edition is the Africa AutoParts Expo, which focuses on the multi-billion dollar spare parts market. With the rise of local manufacturing initiatives, many domestic firms are using this opportunity to form partnerships with foreign original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
The event comes at a time when the Nigerian government is pushing for a transition to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles. Many exhibitors are expected to showcase CNG-powered units and conversion kits, aligning with the national energy transition agenda.

The 20th anniversary of the fair marks a milestone in the promotion of the automotive trade in Nigeria. Stakeholders believe that the fair will not only drive sales but also foster technical exchanges that will improve the local capacity for vehicle maintenance and assembly.
