The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has named three Nigerians as Global Peace Ambassadors in recognition of their contributions to peacebuilding and societal development.

The awardees include former Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, Muhammed Akadri; author and education advocate, Dr Lilian Ajayi-Ore; and Administrator of Holy Child College, Ikoyi, Rev. Christiana Olagunji.
According to IAWPA spokesman, Emmanuel Nkweke, the honourees were selected following a rigorous evaluation of their professional records, character, and measurable impact on community development and peace advocacy.
He explained that IAWPA operates as a global non-profit organisation with a mandate to promote peace and appoint credible ambassadors across the 193 member states of the United Nations.

Speaking on the honour, Dr Ajayi-Ore expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that the ambassadorship would further strengthen her commitment to peace advocacy, education, and empowerment of women and the girl-child.
