Indian security agencies have arrested four Nigerian nationals in a series of anti-narcotics operations carried out across different cities between Thursday and Saturday. The arrests followed coordinated intelligence-led raids targeting suspected drug trafficking networks.

One of the suspects, 37-year-old Tanguy Nguessan, was arrested in the Pragati Nagar area of Nalasopara East after security operatives received information about an impending drug transaction. Officers reportedly recovered 60 grams of cocaine from him, estimated to be worth several millions of naira on the international market. He is currently in custody as investigators work to trace his alleged associates.

In a separate operation in northern India, two Nigerians identified as Touchi and Henry were arrested over their alleged involvement in the distribution of synthetic MD drugs. Their arrests followed earlier raids in Jaipur, where law enforcement officials intercepted drugs and detained other suspected traffickers.

Investigations reportedly revealed that Touchi was responsible for supplying the drugs, leading to his arrest in Faridabad, Haryana. Further intelligence linked Henry to the operation, resulting in his arrest in Delhi. Authorities said both men were residing in India with expired visas and allegedly used forged documents to avoid detection.

Police also disclosed that a list containing names of suspected drug dealers operating across Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan was recovered during the investigation, suggesting a wider distribution network.

In another major breakthrough, anti-narcotics operatives arrested a Nigerian national identified as IK Prince in Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar area after weeks of surveillance. He was later transferred to Mathura, where a court ordered his remand in judicial custody.

Investigators described Prince as a key figure in a heroin trafficking operation. He was allegedly linked to an earlier seizure of over one kilogram of heroin in Mathura, after arrested suspects reportedly named him as the coordinator of the supply chain.

Authorities said about 1.8 kilograms of heroin, valued at several crores of rupees, was recovered in connection with Prince’s arrest. He was also found to be residing in the country without valid travel documents.

Indian officials confirmed that the Nigerian Embassy has been informed, while investigations continue to dismantle what law enforcement agencies describe as an expanding interstate drug trafficking network.
