Ekiti State Government has announced that its ongoing economic reforms and agricultural programmes are beginning to deliver tangible improvements, signalling a gradual return to stability under the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The update came following the release of the October inflation figures by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), which provided fresh data on economic performance across states.

In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, explained that Ekiti’s high year-on-year inflation figures reflected longstanding structural challenges inherited from past administrations.

He noted that while legacy issues continue to influence annual inflation data, the effects of the governor’s economic reforms and agricultural initiatives were becoming increasingly visible at the sub-annual level.

Olatunbosun emphasised that month-on-month inflation, comparing September to October 2025 shows clear progress, with Ekiti ranking fourth among states with the slowest rate of increase, a sign of improving economic conditions.

“Ekiti’s position in the month-on-month ranking is proof that the policies of the Biodun Oyebanji administration are taking hold and delivering real, measurable progress,” he said.
“These gains, especially in agriculture and targeted economic interventions, are helping to stabilise prices and strengthen resilience across the state,” he added.

The adviser reaffirmed the government’s commitment to deepening reforms, supporting farmers, strengthening local production and sustaining programmes designed to ease economic pressure on households and businesses across Ekiti State..
