Hon. In a congratulatory message released by NiDCOM spokesperson Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa praised Disu’s impressive cross-sector experience in higher education, financial services, and energy, noting her global footprint across North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
“This appointment is another shining testament to the impact and excellence Nigerians in the Diaspora are bringing to world-class institutions,” Dabiri-Erewa stated. “Disu’s new role positions her at a strategic intersection of global partnerships, education, and innovation all crucial for building the future of talent development.”

The NiDCOM chief emphasized that Disu’s work will be instrumental in creating scalable and inclusive knowledge-sharing pathways especially vital as African countries like Nigeria seek to strengthen their pipelines in data science, technology, and quantitative disciplines.
She also encouraged Nigerian academics, innovators, and institutions to explore opportunities for collaboration with WorldQuant University through Disu’s office, adding that such partnerships could unlock new educational and development frontiers for the country.
“Gbemi Disu’s elevation is a win not just for her and her family, but for the entire Nigerian Diaspora community,” Dabiri-Erewa affirmed. “We look forward to working with her and with WQU to open more doors for Nigerians to learn, collaborate, and lead on the global stage
