
Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Amanda Azubuike on her promotion to Brigadier General in the United States Army, calling it a proud moment for Nigerians worldwide.

Azubuike, born in London to a Nigerian father and a Zimbabwean mother, joined the U.S. Army in 1994 and became an aviator after completing the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course. Over the years, she has served in key leadership roles, including platoon leader, flight operations officer, and public affairs officer. She currently serves as Deputy Commanding Officer at the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
Dabiri-Erewa described Azubuike’s achievement as a testament to hard work and excellence, stating, “Amanda’s elevation to Brigadier General not only shatters glass ceilings but also highlights the invaluable contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora to global advancements.” She urged Nigerians worldwide to take inspiration from Azubuike’s success and continue striving for excellence.
