The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has charged officers and soldiers graduating from Exercise Restore Hope IX to convert their intensive training into tangible operational victories across various theatres of operation in the country.

The charge was delivered at the Final Exercise and Graduation Ceremony held at the Nigerian Army Training Camp in Kachia, Kaduna State. The COAS emphasised that modern security challenges require combat excellence, discipline, adaptability, and teamwork.
Lieutenant General Shaibu described Exercise Restore Hope as a critical component of the Nigerian Army’s transformation agenda, aimed at building a professional, resilient, and mission-oriented force capable of joint and multi-agency operations.
He explained that the advanced infantry training exposed participants to rigorous drills and realistic scenarios designed to enhance marksmanship, physical endurance, combat medical skills, and mental resilience.

The army chief stressed that professionalism, accountability, and respect for human rights must remain central to military operations, noting that ethical conduct is essential for sustaining public trust and operational legitimacy.
