The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, who chaired the event, congratulated the trainees and encouraged them to embrace small beginnings while applying their new digital skills to contribute to Nigeria’s technological growth.

She also announced that ICT training would soon be extended to wives of executives and women across all geopolitical zones, ensuring greater inclusivity and participation in the digital economy.

NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa, CCIE, said the programme reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in promoting economic diversification and empowering women in technology.

He noted that the training has expanded steadily, from 35 participants in 2023 to 252 in 2024, and 320 in 2025, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to over 600.

“Over 1,000,143 Nigerians have benefited from NITDA training under the present administration, including 32,000 civil servants. I urge each beneficiary to use their knowledge and mentor at least two or three women in their communities to multiply the impact,” he said.
“This programme is a clear demonstration of the Renewed Hope Agenda’s commitment to digital inclusivity. Women trained here are now better equipped to seize opportunities in the digital economy and drive national growth,” he added.

Participants expressed gratitude for the programme, saying they are now better prepared to explore opportunities in technology, contribute meaningfully to national development, and inspire other women in their communities.
