A 27-year-old Nigerian man has been formally charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young man in London, United Kingdom, following a violent altercation earlier this month.

Authorities identified the suspect as Oluwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, who was accused of killing 21-year-old Finbar Sullivan during a confrontation that occurred on April 7 at Primrose Hill.

Emergency services reportedly responded after receiving alerts about a fight in the area, where they discovered the victim with severe stab wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police investigations also revealed that another individual sustained injuries during the incident. The second victim, believed to be in his twenties, was found nearby and taken to hospital, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Ogunyankinnu was apprehended days after the incident and subsequently charged with murder. He is expected to appear before a Magistrates’ Court in Stratford as legal proceedings commence.

In a related development, a second individual initially arrested on suspicion of assisting the suspect has since been released without further action.

The case adds to a growing list of violent crime incidents involving foreign nationals in the UK, drawing attention to ongoing concerns around public safety and criminal activity in major cities. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the altercation remain ongoing as authorities continue to seek additional information.
