2027: Deputy Speaker Urges South-East to Support Tinubu

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has urged leaders and residents of the South-East to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, warning that political disunity could weaken the region’s influence at the national level.
Kalu made the call during an APC South-East stakeholders’ meeting held in Enugu, where he addressed party members and political leaders.
He said unity is critical for the region to negotiate effectively and attract federal attention and development projects.
The deputy speaker urged politicians to invest their votes strategically, noting that political relevance depends on collective bargaining power.
He commended Tinubu’s leadership, saying ongoing reforms, though difficult, are necessary for long-term national stability.
