The United States Embassy has issued an urgent advisory calling on all American citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately. The warning comes amid escalating security concerns, widespread disruptions, and increasing restrictions imposed by Iranian authorities.

The embassy highlighted that heightened security measures have caused road closures, interrupted public transportation, and created persistent internet and communication outages across the country. Mobile networks, landlines, and online services remain unreliable, making it difficult for residents and visitors to stay connected.

Air travel is also facing major disruptions, with several flights canceled or severely limited. The embassy advised that travelers consider leaving Iran by land through neighboring countries such as Armenia or Türkiye if it is safe to do so.

Citizens were urged to plan departures that do not rely on U.S. government assistance, as direct consular support is limited due to the absence of formal diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Iran. Contingency planning is strongly recommended.

For those unable to leave immediately, the advisory recommended securing a safe location, stockpiling food, water, medications, and other essentials, and avoiding public gatherings or demonstrations that could pose risks.

Americans are also advised to maintain a low profile, stay alert to their surroundings, monitor local media for updates, and be prepared to adjust plans quickly as conditions change. Keeping devices charged and communication channels open is considered essential.

The alert underscores the continuing tension between the United States and Iran, regional instability, and periodic domestic unrest. It also highlights the vulnerability of foreign nationals in Iran, particularly U.S. citizens, who are urged to act immediately to ensure their safety.
