A coalition of Nigerians based in the United States has concluded plans to stage a large-scale rally in support of President Bola Tinubu in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 1, 2026.

Organised by The Future Platform USA, the event is expected to bring together members of the Nigerian diaspora to demonstrate backing for the President’s leadership and policy direction. According to the group, the rally will highlight key developments under the current administration while fostering stronger connections between Nigerians abroad and the government at home.

Convener of the platform, Austin Dafe, described the gathering as part of a broader effort to encourage diaspora participation in national development. He noted that Nigerians living overseas have a role to play in shaping the country’s future through collaboration, advocacy, and investment.

Dafe added that the rally would serve as a symbol of unity and a show of commitment to Nigeria’s progress on the global stage. He emphasised that the initiative is designed to strengthen ties between the diaspora community and stakeholders within the country.

Also speaking, the group’s spokesperson, Olakunle Olaosebikan, said the event aims to align Nigerians abroad around shared goals of growth, stability, and constructive engagement. He explained that the platform seeks to create a space for dialogue and coordinated support for national policies.

The organisers disclosed that the rally is likely to attract prominent political figures, professionals, and community leaders from both Nigeria and across the diaspora. Participants are expected from various parts of the United States, alongside supporters and partners interested in Nigeria’s development.

The group described the planned gathering as a significant moment for diaspora involvement in national affairs, noting that it could signal a renewed phase of engagement focused on inclusive growth and international collaboration.

An open invitation has been extended to Nigerians abroad and other interested participants to attend the rally, which organisers say will reinforce a collective commitment to national unity and progress.
