Three Indian nationals have been killed in separate violent incidents across multiple provinces in Canada within the space of one week, raising fresh concerns over the safety of foreign nationals, particularly students and workers.

The victims were identified as 22-year-old Birinder Singh, 30-year-old Devinder Singh, and 25-year-old Gurkirat Singh. The incidents occurred in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, respectively, and are currently under investigation by Canadian authorities.

In British Columbia, Gurkirat Singh, an international student, died following a violent altercation near a recreational area in Fort St. John. Reports indicate he was attacked by a group before being fatally injured. Authorities have launched a homicide investigation and appealed to the public for information.

In a separate case in Saskatchewan, Devinder Singh, a cab driver, was shot in a parking area while on duty. Preliminary findings suggest he may have been caught in a situation involving another individual, with police confirming the case as a homicide.

Meanwhile, in Alberta, Birinder Singh was killed in a targeted shooting while travelling in a vehicle with friends. The suspect reportedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, prompting an ongoing manhunt by law enforcement.

Canadian police across the affected regions have stated that investigations are ongoing, with forensic examinations and witness accounts expected to guide further legal action.

Reacting to one of the incidents, Indian authorities expressed condolences and assured the victim’s family of support, including assistance with funeral arrangements.

The recent killings add to growing concerns over violent attacks involving Indian nationals in Canada. Officials have reiterated their commitment to engaging with Canadian authorities to ensure proper investigations and accountability for such crimes.
