Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has reiterated his commitment to transparent and inclusive governance during a town hall meeting with members of the Anambra diaspora community in the United States and North America.

The event, held on Sunday in Maryland, forms part of an ongoing series of diaspora engagements aimed at fostering accountability and participatory governance. According to a statement issued by Soludo’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor is treating governance as “a continuous contract with the people,” rather than a process dictated by election timelines.

Addressing the attendees, Soludo provided updates on his administration’s "Solution Agenda," which focuses on economic transformation, infrastructure development, education reform, and enhanced security across Anambra State.

He also emphasized the importance of diaspora involvement in the state’s development trajectory, describing Ndi Anambra abroad as critical stakeholders.

“By engaging the diaspora, Governor Soludo acknowledges their influence as investors, philanthropists, and professionals whose support can accelerate progress in the state,” Aburime noted.

The town hall follows similar engagements previously held in Lagos, Abuja, and the United Kingdom. With the Anambra governorship election scheduled for later this year, Soludo’s decision to prioritize governance-focused interactions over electoral campaign activities was highlighted as a defining feature of his leadership style.

Soludo, who assumed office in March 2022, is widely expected to seek re-election. His administration has consistently emphasized performance, public accountability, and civic engagement principles he says are central to his governance philosophy.
