President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, February 28, 2025, received Morotoluwa Ojomo, a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles, at the State House in Abuja. Ojomo, who visited with his family, was led by the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
During the meeting, President Tinubu commended Ojomo for his achievements in American football and his representation of Nigeria on the global stage. As a gesture of recognition, the president promised to confer a national honor on him in acknowledgment of his contributions to sports and for being a role model to young Nigerians.
Ojomo expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue using his platform to inspire and support youth in sports development. The visit highlights the Nigerian government's ongoing efforts to celebrate and engage with its diaspora talents.
