President Tinubu Celebrates Governor Sanwo-Olu at 60, Commends Legacy Projects in Lagos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, praising his unwavering dedication to public service and Lagos’ development.

In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu acknowledged Sanwo-Olu’s distinguished political journey, which began under his own mentorship during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu, the sixth democratically elected Governor of Lagos State, has served in various strategic capacities in the state’s civil service. His prior roles include Managing Director/CEO of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation and Commissioner in three ministries: Economic Planning and Budget; Commerce and Industry; and Establishments, Training, and Pensions.

President Tinubu hailed Sanwo-Olu's stewardship in continuing the vision laid out in the Lagos master plan, describing him as a loyal executor of transformative policies aimed at modernizing the metropolis.
"Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including completing the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor," the President noted.
He further encouraged Governor Sanwo-Olu to maintain focus on impactful infrastructure, urging progress on major projects such as the Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road
QPresident Tinubu concluded his message by wishing the Governor good health, long life, and many more years of dedicated service to Lagos State and Nigeria.
