Nigerians living abroad have officially declared their support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a second term in office come 2027.
This declaration was made at a dinner event held in Abuja on Saturday, where Ade Omole, the former Director of the now-defunct All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Campaign Directorate for the 2023 elections, announced the Diaspora community’s position. His proposal was strongly seconded by other prominent members in attendance, including Hajia Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, an APC chieftain and former Lagos State governorship aspirant.
The dinner, themed “Two Years of Impact: Honouring President Tinubu and the Voices of Renewed Hope,” marked the mid-term anniversary of the Tinubu-led administration.

This is not praise-singing but truth-telling bearing witness to the great works being done by the Tinubu administration in the past two years,” Mr Omole stated. “There comes a moment in the life of every nation when progress must not only be pursued but also honoured. Today is such a day.”
He emphasized that the administration is not merely counting years but is measuring its tangible impact.
“Today, we are gathered here as those nourished by the roots of a vision and as witnesses to the fruit of bold leadership, even in turbulent times,” he added. “In the face of adversity, progress has not only emerged it has endured and must be celebrated.”
Omole noted that the event was meant to salute the administration’s bold leadership, consistent advocacy, and visible developmental strides. According to him, while the country is not entirely out of its challenges, it has made significant headway and now sees the "light at the end of the tunnel."
He outlined the administration’s notable achievements across key sectors including economic reforms, infrastructure, education, national security, and foreign direct investment , all executed under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Yes, the reforms have been bold, and the choices not always easy,” he remarked. “But we must remind ourselves that real leadership doesn’t seek applause; it seeks results.”
He further asserted that various institutional and economic recalibrations have begun to bear fruit, with national indicators trending positively and public confidence steadily rising.

“The motion is rooted in belief, patriotism, and Renewed Hope,” Omole said. “It reflects the confidence and commitment of Nigerians in the Diaspora towards the Tinubu administration.”
He concluded with a call for deeper engagement, stronger national unity, and a renewed commitment to inclusive development. “The future is not something we wait for it is something we build together,” he said.
