The continental leadership of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Africa has commended the Nigerian Embassy in Senegal for its support during the recently concluded Nigerian Products Exhibition in Dakar.

The event, held on February 27 in the Senegalese capital, brought together entrepreneurs and stakeholders to showcase locally manufactured goods to a broader African market. Organisers said the exhibition aimed to deepen trade links and expand the visibility of Nigerian brands across the continent.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Continental Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Africa, Prof. Jude Osakwe, expressed appreciation to the embassy for providing its premises to host the exhibition. He described the gesture as a strong indication of the mission’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s commercial interests abroad.

Osakwe also acknowledged the role of the Acting Chargé d’Affaires, Mrs. C.J. Rapheal, noting that her intervention was instrumental in resolving logistical challenges linked to the shipment of exhibition materials from Nigeria.

According to him, the timely clearance of the container ensured that exhibitors were able to display their products without disruption, a development he said contributed significantly to the overall success of the programme.

He further stated that the exhibition served as a platform to project Nigerian-made goods to an international audience while strengthening collaboration between the diaspora community and government institutions.

NIDO Africa reaffirmed its resolve to promote economic partnerships and expand opportunities for Nigerian businesses within Africa, calling for sustained cooperation with diplomatic missions to drive trade and investment initiatives.
