The police in Delta State are taking action after a video of a woman crying for justice went viral. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a local boss, DPO Chidi Nwabuzor, to be removed from his post immediately. This comes after shocking allegations that he and two other officers extorted 2.5 million Naira from a citizen.

The story came to light when a woman posted a video online claiming she was forced to pay the massive sum. She said the officers promised to release her brother from custody if she paid. Instead of getting help, she felt she was being robbed by the very people meant to protect her.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed that the department saw the video and acted fast. The DPO and the other officers involved named Bright and Usman are now under investigation. The department wants to make it clear that this kind of behavior has no place in the force.
This incident has sparked a lot of conversation about "police extortion" in Nigeria. While many are angry that it happened, there is also praise for the Commissioner for not ignoring the video. It shows that social media can be a powerful tool for holding people in power accountable.

For the woman involved, the goal is simple: she wants her money back and her brother to be treated fairly under the law. As the investigation continues, the people of Delta State will be watching to see if real justice is served or if this is just a temporary move.
