The France chapter of the All Progressives Congress has begun mobilising Nigerians living abroad to back President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the chapter’s chairperson, Amina Suzuki, said members had resolved to intensify outreach efforts across diaspora communities to build support for the party’s ticket.
According to her, the group plans to focus on voter awareness, strategic engagement, and coordinated grassroots mobilisation both overseas and within Nigeria. She added that members are prepared to return home in significant numbers to participate actively in political activities leading up to the polls.
The chapter said its decision followed an internal assessment of the current administration’s policies and reforms. It argued that ongoing economic and governance measures under the Renewed Hope agenda are beginning to reshape key sectors.
Suzuki maintained that fiscal reforms, renewed attention to infrastructure, and efforts to attract foreign investment have started improving Nigeria’s economic outlook. She noted that members of the diaspora closely track global market signals and investor confidence indicators.
While political debate continues at home over the government’s performance, the APC France chapter insisted continuity in leadership would provide stability and allow reforms to mature.
The group called on Nigerians abroad to organise town hall meetings, policy discussions, and community engagements to explain the administration’s programmes and rally backing for the party.
It also urged citizens at home and overseas to unite behind the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in 2027, describing the election as critical to sustaining what it termed a national reform trajectory.
