Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State met with Ndi Anambra in the Diaspora at a town hall meeting in London, where he shared his administration’s three-year progress and reinforced the importance of inclusive governance. The event, hosted at Saray Banqueting Suite, Market Square, brought together global stakeholders in collaboration with the European Union and the Nigerian diaspora in the United Kingdom.

This engagement was the latest in a series of strategic outreach efforts that began in Lagos and Abuja, reflecting Soludo’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. Since celebrating three years in office, the governor has been taking his administration’s report directly to the people at home and abroad whom he calls his “employers.”
Deputy Governor Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, who attended the event with his wife Lady Oluchi Ibezim, described the gathering as a meaningful opportunity to connect with citizens abroad and outline key government achievements. He emphasized that the town hall served not only to inform but also to listen and engage.
The scorecard presented covered accomplishments in security, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic empowerment areas central to Soludo’s vision of a livable and prosperous Anambra.

“The energy and passion of Ndi Anambra in the Diaspora are deeply inspiring,” Dr. Ibezim said. “Their contributions intellectual, financial, and moral are critical to our state’s transformation.”
Attendee and UK-based Anambra indigene, Hon. Ifeanyi Aniagoh, expressed appreciation for the session’s interactive nature, praising the governor and his deputy for making themselves personally available. He encouraged the continuation of such engagements to strengthen ties between the government and the diaspora.
Organizers hinted at plans for similar meetings in other global cities, recognizing that Anambra citizens abroad are not just ambassadors but vital partners in the state’s progress.
As the event wrapped up, one message resonated clearly: the connection between Anambra and its diaspora is both strong and essential for the future.
