The Lagos State Ministry of Information has visited the National Population Commission (NPC) to see how they can help them communicate better. They want to make sure the public understands important things like birth registration and census data.

Dr. Olajide Atansuyi, who led the team, said they want to find out what skills the staff are missing. Once they know what is needed, they will provide modern training in areas like social media and video editing.
The NPC Director in Lagos, Mrs. Olamide Adekolu, was very happy about the visit. She said that because the world is moving online, her team needs new skills to keep the public informed and build trust with the citizens.
The assessment showed that while the NPC is good at traditional news, they need help with "digital storytelling." This means using tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and short videos to reach more people on the internet.

This training is part of a bigger plan to modernize how the government talks to the people. By improving these skills, the Ministry hopes that every Lagosian will be able to easily access and understand government information.
