Ekiti Governor Praises Nigerian Army on Remembrance Day

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has praised the Nigerian Army for its sacrifices in defending the country and maintaining national security.

The governor made the remarks during a special church service to mark the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Ado Ekiti.

Represented by his deputy, Monisade Afuye, Oyebanji commended soldiers for their bravery in combating insurgency, banditry, and other security threats.

He described the event as a moment to honour fallen heroes and recognise those who continue to serve despite personal risks.

Oyebanji urged Nigerians to reflect on the price of peace and recommit themselves to unity and national development.
