In a recent discussion outlining his plans, he said California needs leadership grounded in integrity, research-based policymaking and long-term strategic thinking. According to him, the state’s future depends on adopting solutions that expand opportunity while strengthening public trust.

Dr. Agbede, a Cambridge-trained mathematician with decades of experience in STEM advocacy, highlighted education, economic reform, technology investment and social justice as the pillars of his agenda. He noted that these areas remain critical for positioning the state for global competitiveness in the coming decades.

He argued that California is at a defining moment and requires leaders who can navigate complex issues with clarity rather than political theatrics. He stressed that his background in academia and community development equips him to approach statewide challenges with analytical depth and fairness.

The mathematician also said his candidacy is anchored in service, not personal ambition, adding that his goal is to ensure residents from all backgrounds can succeed. He called for a united effort to build a state where innovation and inclusion go hand in hand.

Dr. Agbede maintained that the campaign is a call to reimagine governance in ways that prioritise transparency, accountability and equal access to opportunities. He urged Californians to support a movement focused on sustainable progress rather than maintaining the status quo.
