In a strategic move to deepen economic collaboration, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday welcomed a high-level delegation led by the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, to Lagos House, Alausa.
The meeting focused on forging stronger ties between Lagos State and the Federal Government in a bid to attract increased investments, boost local enterprise development, and drive sustainable job creation for residents.

Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to key industrial reforms, pledging to streamline business processes and promote inclusive economic growth across all sectors. “Lagos is open for business and ready to lead Nigeria’s industrial transformation,” he stated, emphasizing the state’s pivotal role as the nation’s economic hub.
Dr. Oduwole, in her remarks, underscored the Federal Government’s intention to unlock Nigeria’s full trade and investment potential, with Lagos positioned as a model state for scaling impactful reforms. “Lagos represents a microcosm of Nigeria’s promise. By deepening partnerships here, we aim to demonstrate what’s possible nationwide,” she said.
The meeting signals a renewed push for economic synergy between subnational and federal actors, as Nigeria seeks to reposition itself as a competitive destination for global investment.
