The Nigerians in Diaspora Political Forum, held recently in Paris, France, has reaffirmed strong support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing notable strides in governance and national development.
Speaking at the forum, Chief Olumuyiwa Moses Ogunjimi, Chairman of APC France, lauded the administration’s achievements, including the implementation of student loans, revival of local refinery operations, reduction in food prices, and improved national security.
Ogunjimi urged Nigerians both at home and abroad to continue backing the Tinubu-led government, emphasizing that sustained support is crucial for deepening democratic dividends.
In line with this, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a separate press briefing, highlighted key milestones reached under the current administration. He revealed that 169,000 students have already benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, receiving a total of ₦32.8 billion in tuition and upkeep allowances—a major campaign promise fulfilled.

Idris also announced that all federal ministries would soon present their scorecards to Nigerians ahead of the administration’s second anniversary, promoting transparency and accountability.
On security, the minister disclosed that over 8,000 terrorists and bandits were neutralized, 11,600 suspects arrested, and more than 10,000 illegal weapons recovered in 2024 alone. He noted that formerly dangerous highways like Abuja-Kaduna have become safer, while about 8,000 kidnap victims were successfully rescued.
Further security gains include the designation of the Lakurawa armed group as a terrorist organization by the Federal High Court, enabling security agencies to adopt stricter enforcement measures.
A major economic highlight was the revival of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, now operating at 125,000 barrels per day. This move is expected to drive down fuel prices and strengthen domestic refining capacity. The NNPC Limited also announced plans to export refined petroleum products, boosting foreign exchange earnings.
The administration’s security strategy has earned international praise, including commendation from former British diplomat David Roberts, who noted Nigeria’s improved standing in the Global Terrorism Index due to strategic counter-terrorism efforts
As the Tinubu administration approaches its second anniversary, government officials have reiterated their commitment to consolidating progress, ensuring economic stability, and enhancing national security for all Nigerians
