Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced nationwide sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at a pump price of N739 per litre across all MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations, marking a major step toward stabilising Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector and easing fuel costs for consumers.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the refinery, which disclosed that the new price is being implemented across more than 2,000 MRS stations nationwide, ensuring that Nigerians in different parts of the country benefit from the reduced pump price.
The refinery commended marketers who have already complied with the new pricing regime, describing their actions as a demonstration of patriotism and support for national economic recovery, while urging other marketers to align with the initiative.
The development comes at a time when the festive season is traditionally marked by fuel scarcity and sharp price increases, a trend Dangote Refinery said it is deliberately disrupting through guaranteed supply and local refining capacity.

Backed by a guaranteed daily supply of 50 million litres, the refinery noted that the initiative is helping to reduce Nigeria’s exposure to volatile global oil markets, conserve foreign exchange, stabilise the Naira, and strengthen the country’s energy security.
“We commend MRS and other marketers who have demonstrated patriotism by reflecting the reduced price at the pump. We call on others to join this effort as a show of support for Nigeria’s economic recovery,” the refinery stated.
“Any attempt to create artificial scarcity or manipulate supply to frustrate recent price reductions is unpatriotic and unacceptable. We urge regulatory authorities to remain vigilant and take firm action against such practices, especially during this critical festive period,” the statement added.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery reaffirmed its commitment to steady supply, price moderation, and long-term national interest, stressing that its objective remains to provide consistent access to high-quality petroleum products at affordable prices while reducing Nigeria’s dependence on fuel imports.
