Trial set for man accused of burglary during World Cup

A trial date has been scheduled for the man accused of breaking into Raheem Sterling's house during the World Cup.

During the World Cup, around £300,000 worth of jewelry and watches were reportedly stolen from Raheem Sterling's house in Oxshott, Surrey. Sterling had to leave England's World Cup camp to be with his family after the break-in on December 3, 2022. Emiliano Krosi, 23, from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, appeared in Guildford Crown Court and is facing 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, including the burglary at Sterling's home.

Due to the incident, Sterling couldn't play in England's 3-0 victory against Senegal. The plea hearing is scheduled for November 3, followed by a two-week trial starting on February 14, 2023. Mr. Krosi is currently in custody.
