North Korea Reopens Borders, Welcomes Foreigners

According to Chinese state media, North Korea will reopen its borders to foreign nationals starting from Monday, marking the end of over three years of COVID-19-related isolation.

Since early 2020, North Korea had sealed itself off from the world, barring even its own citizens from traveling. However, recent developments, such as Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia and North Korean athletes participating in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, suggest a gradual reopening.

As reported by Beijing's CCTV, North Korea has now officially announced that foreigners will be permitted to enter the country, subject to a two-day quarantine upon arrival.
