President Tinubu urges Nigerians in Diaspora to come back home

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, speaking at the Presidential Townhall Meeting with Nigerians in the diaspora, encouraged them to change their mindset for success and rise above failure in all aspects of life. He emphasized that Nigerians have the potential to overcome poverty and achieve greatness. Nigeria is indeed a blessed country!

Tinubu, who commended the efforts on out-of-school children, the healthcare programme and the need to eradicate poverty, said Nigeria was a blessed country

Sincerely, we don’t have any reason to be poor, we are just poor in some leadership areas.

"That is what I harped on during my campaign. It was a very gruesome campaign but I won the election but if I didn’t thrown myself into it with strong determination and result, I wouldn’t have won.

“There were so many hurdles on my way that would have stopped me. I refused to be stopped, you can do the same as many of you here that are contesting elections”, the President said.

"Let me share something that will resonate with you. I, too, have experienced what you've been through as a diaspora. A change in mindset is crucial. Believe me when I say that Nigeria is brimming with business opportunities. No matter where you are, there will always be opportunities if you search and put your mind to it. I'm delighted by the success of Nigerians in their chosen fields abroad. You are celebrated for your good manners and behavior".
"I'm proud of you! I've also benefited from inspiration, determination, commitment, and perseverance, which are all you need to succeed". "However, we need you back in Nigeria, the country has made progress, so let go of the frustrations of past leadership" he said
