Nigerian- Harriman-Annous Shines in Arsenal Youth Victory

Andre Harriman-Annous, one of the brightest teenage talents of Nigerian descent in the Premier League system, made a statement on his FA Youth Cup debut by scoring the opener in Arsenal's thrilling 4-3 victory over Hertford Town. The win propels the Gunners to the fourth round of the prestigious competition

Harriman-Annous wasted no time, giving Arsenal a dream start with a composed finish just seven minutes in. Although Hertford's O'Brien equalized midway through the first half, Arsenal regained control with Dan Casey and Louie Copley scoring before halftime to make it 3-1.

The second half saw Hertford reduce the deficit through a penalty by Finley Lynch, but Casey restored Arsenal's two-goal cushion with a stunning long-range effort. A late strike from Devshi made it 4-3, setting up a nervy finish, but Arsenal held firm through ten minutes of stoppage time to secure the victory.

Harriman-Annous, a first-year scholar for the 2024-2025 season, continues to impress with his versatility and goal-scoring prowess. His tally now stands at 11 goals across all competitions, including standout performances in the U18 Premier League Cup, UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2, and EFL Trophy.

Joining Harriman-Annous in making their FA Youth Cup debuts were Samuel Onyekachukwu and Ife Ibrahim, while Josh Ogunnaike and Daniel Oyetunde, also of Nigerian descent, were unused substitutes.

With his latest heroics, Harriman-Annous solidifies his reputation as one to watch in Arsenal's youth ranks.
