NiDCOM Congratulates Rosaline on Emergence as Mayor of Islington

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Rosaline on her emergence as the new Mayor of Islington, describing the achievement as a significant milestone for Nigerians in the diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa said Rosaline’s rise to the position reflects her years of dedication to public service, community development, and leadership in the United Kingdom. She noted that the appointment further highlights the growing influence of Nigerians making meaningful contributions in leadership roles across different parts of the world.
Before joining politics, Rosaline worked with voluntary organisations such as the Islington Citizens Advice Bureau, where she currently serves as a part-time adviser. She also worked with the London Symphony Orchestra in customer service and office coordination and participated in the organisation’s community choir for more than two decades.
She also has experience in broadcasting, having previously worked with Radio Nigeria before relocating to the UK. In addition, she serves on the Board of Trustees of St Luke’s Centre.
Dabiri-Erewa expressed confidence in Rosaline’s ability to deliver impactful leadership as Mayor of Islington, while encouraging Nigerians abroad to continue projecting the country positively through excellence and service in their respective fields.
