NiDCOM Boss Mourns Agoro Family After Fatal Texas Crash

The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Nihinloluwa Agoro and her two children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, in a road accident in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States.

The fatal incident, which has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian diaspora community, reportedly occurred on Sunday, March 15, 2026, as the victims were travelling to church.


In an official statement issued on Friday by the Commission’s media unit, Dabiri-Erewa described the loss as heartbreaking, noting that such a sudden tragedy during a routine journey is deeply painful for any family.

She extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased and strength for loved ones left behind to cope with the devastating loss.


The NiDCOM boss also expressed concern for other individuals affected by the crash, wishing those injured a speedy and full recovery.


Dabiri-Erewa used the opportunity to call for greater caution among road users, emphasising the importance of safety measures to prevent avoidable accidents.

She further assured that NiDCOM stands in solidarity with Nigerians in Texas and across the United States, as the community mourns the loss of the victims.
