Lagos Students Hail Sanwo-Olu For Approving Bursary



NULASS commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for granting scholarships and bursaries worth N375,455 million.

NULASS President, Mr. Shasanya Akinola, expressed his appreciation in a Friday interview in Lagos.


The union was impressed by Governor Sanwo-Olu's commitment to providing bursaries and scholarships. Mr. Abdur Rahman Lekki, the Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, was also thanked for his efforts in ensuring that all qualified students received support.


He mentioned that due to the economic situation in Nigeria, many states would have to reconsider the value of their scholarship awards. He added that Lagos State's scholarship award is N200,000, which is higher and more consistent compared to some other states. Additionally, he praised President Bola Tinubu for nominating two young individuals as ministers in the Federal Ministry of Youth, stating that it is a significant achievement for the youth.


“We sincerely appreciate our dear governor for doing the needful. It is a way of encouraging us.“This package is for all Lagos indigenes schooling across the federation, and I must say this gesture has gone a long way to take care of some of our financial burdens.
