The Indian diaspora across the globe has staged widespread protests in response to the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 individuals, mostly Hindu tourists. The coordinated protests have spanned major cities in Europe, North America, and Asia, with people demanding justice and condemning the brutal violence.

In London, demonstrators gathered outside the Pakistan High Commission, while similar protests took place at Federation Square in Melbourne, as well as in Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Copenhagen. Protesters expressed their anger and sorrow through slogans and placards condemning the attack. In Frankfurt, over 300 members of the Indian community marched from the Central Railway Station to Dom Römer, showcasing unity and solidarity with the victims’ families.

The tragic attack has raised tensions between India and Pakistan, with India accusing Pakistan of supporting the militants responsible for the violence. Pakistan has denied these allegations. In retaliation, India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty, closed major border crossings, and expelled Pakistani diplomats. The attack is believed to have been carried out by militants from across the border, further deepening the rift between the two countries.

As investigations continue, the Indian government has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice. The international community has urged restraint from both nations to prevent further escalation. The solidarity shown by the Indian diaspora worldwide reflects the global outcry against terrorism and the pain felt by the families of the victims.
