The First Lady of Lagos State and Chairman, Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has led members of the association to a one-day capacity-building training programme focused on protocol, etiquette and security awareness.

The training, held at the COWLSO Retiree Villa in Ogombo, Ajah, was designed to equip participants with practical skills required for effective engagement in official and social settings. It also aimed at enhancing personal safety and situational awareness among members.
Addressing participants, Dr. Sanwo-Olu described the programme as a reflection of COWLSO’s commitment to continuous learning and self-development. She stressed the importance of staying informed about current trends, noting that the evolving nature of public life requires adaptability, discipline and professionalism.
According to her, understanding protocol and etiquette is essential for spouses of public office holders, as their conduct often reflects the values and image of government. She added that security consciousness remains critical in navigating both public and private engagements.

Participants were taken through interactive sessions facilitated by experienced professionals, covering topics such as official conduct, public appearance, personal safety and social responsibility. The programme further reinforced COWLSO’s mission of empowering its members to contribute meaningfully to governance and societal development.
