The Plateau State Association in the USA (PSA-USA) has called for urgent and decisive action to halt the ongoing violence in Plateau State, Nigeria. In a statement signed by its president, Bartholomew Shepkong, the group decried the persistent attacks as “deliberate acts of terror” and urged President Bola Tinubu to respond swiftly and decisively.
“Enough is enough. The time for words has passed justice must prevail,” the statement read. PSA-USA called on Nigerian security agencies to identify and prosecute the perpetrators, while also appealing to the international community to treat the violence in Plateau and Nigeria’s Middle Belt as a humanitarian and human rights crisis.
The group expressed deep sorrow over recent attacks in Zike Village (Bassa LGA) and multiple communities in Bokkos LGA, which claimed dozens of lives, destroyed homes, and displaced entire families. They insisted these were not random incidents but targeted and coordinated assaults on peaceful communities.
PSA-USA also called for support for displaced persons and demanded their safe return, emphasizing that violence must not be rewarded with land ownership.

“There can be no healing without justice, and no future without truth. The right to heritage, home, and dignity must be restored,” the group added
The association urged the media to report accurately and responsibly, and reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for justice and peace in Plateau. It pledged continued engagement with policymakers, diaspora leaders, and humanitarian actors to ensure lasting protection for affected communities.
