The Dangote Petroleum and Petrochemicals company has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from N990 to N970 per litre for marketers.
In a press release on Sunday, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, announced the price adjustment.

The statement highlighted the company’s gratitude to Nigerians and the government for their support, saying:
“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true. In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being.”
The refinery assured the public of its commitment to maintaining high-quality, environmentally sustainable petroleum products, stating:
“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption, dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply.”
This move is seen as part of efforts to stabilize the fuel market and support economic growth.
